Steve Lohr is the CEO and Founder of Evolve Cloud Services, where he takes a hands-on approach to helping customers optimize cloud and software licensing costs while delivering exceptional service. With over 20 years of cloud industry experience, Steve brings deep expertise in cost optimization, cloud strategy, and software asset management.
Steve holds dual bachelor’s degrees from Grand Valley State University and is an avid traveler, sports enthusiast, and self-proclaimed foodie.
Jason Volpe is Chief Technology Officer at Evolve Cloud Services, where he has led solution strategy since 2021. He brings over 30 years in data and cloud, including roles at Amazon Web Services as Global Business Development Manager and Senior Solutions Architect, and at Microsoft as Director of Cloud and AI. Earlier, he built business intelligence and data management practices at Fujitsu, EMC, Nelnet, and MCI.
Ashley Marie oversees operations with a focus on consistent performance and operational excellence. With over 15 years of business operations experience, she brings a strategic approach to creating structure, streamlining processes, and driving results.
Ashley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Arizona State University and enjoys traveling, Pilates, and spending time outdoors.
Kirk Davis is Director of Cloud Services at Evolve Cloud Services, where he helps organizations migrate and modernize Microsoft workloads on AWS. His career includes work with Microsoft and nearly nine years at AWS, where he served as a Principal Solutions Architect specializing in Microsoft workloads, with deep experience in .NET, Windows Server, SQL Server, and cloud modernization. A lifelong technologist, Kirk enjoys exploring new technologies, traveling, and connecting with people around the world.
Kirk holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland, and a Masters of Business Administration from Webster University.
Phil Ekins leads the Database Migration and Modernization practice at Evolve Cloud Services. With nearly three decades of database experience, including almost six years at AWS, he helps organizations develop and execute strategies for complex database environments. His expertise spans workload assessment, cloud architecture, database and platform migration, database-engine modernization, licensing and cost optimization, virtualization, and high availability and disaster recovery. Drawing on his extensive experience as a DBA, Phil brings a practical, operations-focused perspective to every stage of the modernization journey.
Don Leal brings a decade of experience in technology and systems, with a background that spans infrastructure, customer success, solution development, and technology leadership. He has spent the past five years with Evolve Cloud Services, advancing through both technical and client-focused roles. As Director of Technology, Don focuses on technology strategy, scalable processes, operational maturity, and practical solutions that help teams deliver reliable outcomes while supporting the company’s continued growth.
